About Us


What is the Women's Economic Forum (WEF)?

WEF is a networking group of women in and around Windsor-Essex County. It is a non-profit organization operated solely for the benefit of its membership. Most importantly, WEF offers women an opportunity to network and socialize with other women who have similar interests and challenges. WEF offers women a chance to connect to others in the community while, at the same time offering informative meetings with interesting guest speakers.

The purpose of the organization shall be:
  1. to provide opportunities for achievement-oriented women in the City of Windsor/County of Essex to meet and interact with women with similar goals and interests.
  2. to provide a program of monthly dinner meeting with speakers on topics of interest to the membership
  3. to sponsor seminars and workshops on topics of interest to the membership.
What benefits come with a WEF membership?

As a member, you will receive:  
  • Attendance at monthly meetings held on the fourth Tuesday of every month from September to June, seminars and special meetings
  • Access to an online WEF membership directory of member names, occupations, addresses and telephone numbers.
  • Monthly newsletters all members are encouraged to place business and/or personal announcements in the WEF newsletter.
  • Special advertising rates in the newsletter


Need more info on the meetings?

The group holds dinner meetings on the fourth Tuesday of every month from September until June. These meetings include dinner and a guest speaker. The fee is an additional cost but members pay a preferential rate for their dinners-- guests are welcome. The opportunity to promote yourself and your business while networking with other members occurs at each meeting as well.
