Our Mission Statement:
The Women's Economic Forum brings women together to promote and foster their connections in order to grow their businesses and professions.
As a non-profit organization created in 1981, our mission is to mentor, support, and empower women in Windsor and Essex through monthly networking and educational meetings, promotional opportunities, and social events.
WEF offers women the opportunity to interact and socialize with other women who have similar interests and challenges.
Members support one another through business alliances and mentoring opportunities.

What is the Women's Economic Forum (WEF)?
WEF is a networking group of women in and around Windsor-Essex. It is a non-profit organization operated solely for the benefit of its membership. Most importantly, WEF offers women an opportunity to network and socialize with other women who have similar interests and challenges. WEF offers women a chance to connect with others in the community while, at the same time offering informative meetings with interesting guest speakers.
The purpose of the organization shall be:
- to provide opportunities for achievement-oriented women in the City of Windsor, Leamington and the surrounding areas to meet and interact with women with similar goals and interests.
to provide a program of monthly dinner meetings with speakers on topics of interest to the membership
to sponsor seminars and workshops on topics of interest to the membership.
What benefits come with a WEF membership?
As a member, you will receive:
Attendance offered at both Chapters' monthly meetings: Held in Windsor on the fourth Tuesday of every month, and held in Leamington on the third Wednesday of every month.
Both Windsor and Leamington Chapters provide monthly meetings from September to June (excluding December), seminars and special meetings.
- Access to an online WEF membership directory of member names, occupations, addresses and telephone numbers.
Monthly newsletters which contain both Windsor and Leamington & surrounding area news - All members from both Chapters are encouraged to place business and/or personal announcements in the WEF newsletter.
Special advertising rates are available for the newsletter as well as rates for your company banner on our WEF website.
Need more info on the meetings?
Dinner meetings for both Chapters include a wonderful meal with dessert and a guest speaker.
The fee is an additional cost but members pay a preferential rate for their dinners. Guests are welcome.
The opportunity to promote yourself and your business while networking with other members occurs at each meeting as well.
